A Gooner supporting mate of mine (who rates the player quite a bit) told me that his Giblert's nickname if Beef Head. Maybe a Beef Head chant will make him feel at home.

I asked if we can keep him and my mate said we can because the player is English so has no future at the A r s e.

I think his future at Arsenal is non-existant because Eboue is so good and marginally older. Then there's the new chap they signed and it suddenly looks like League Cup only

Eboue I think is being moved into midfield and the new signing will be the right back.

Even with Eboue not playing there Arsenal still have Justin Hoyte who is in front of Gilbert.

Whilst he may not see Southend as his future I personally dont see him having a long term career with Arsenal.
