Getting Laurent's contract extended.

Ayrshire Blue

The Custard Splat
I know it's only been a few weeks since he came off the bench to score the winner against Swindon and seems to have adapted to life in L1 very well.

Laurent is only on a one year deal and I think we should be looking to get him tied down on a longer deal already, If he keeps up this form other clubs are going to be sniffing round him.

Someone said we had put an option in the contract when we signed him for another year.

So basically, it's a 2 year deal, but if we want to release him we only pay him his first years wages. Win win. If true of course.

I'd hang fire for the minute. A lot of players arrive at a club 'all guns blazing' and then fade away after a few weeks. Laurent clearly has bags of ability, but I'd wait to see how consistent he is before opening our cheque book to him.

he might fade he has to get use to playing here still aint sure about his play he gets to tired fo 90 min:clap:

Not sure we'll be rushing to pin him down just yet, apparently he's a bit hit or miss in training - will do something amazing one minute then follow it with something ridiculous. Thankfully he's been doing the former on the pitch at the moment!
