Such sad news about Gerry Fell just seen on X:
"Very sad to report that ex-Brighton, Southend & Torquay winger Gerry Fell lost his long battle with cancer on Tuesday. I was privileged to work with Gerry on many BHA-related articles & the book 'Bloody Southerners', and I'll miss our chats immensely. Love to Di & all the family."
We spoke to Gerry many times in recent times, his illness prevented him from joining our Dave Smith players reunions but he was always positive and even last year helped us with our 'Message to Ron' videos. And those goals v Newport ... oh what a night that was.
