Thanks for the info. good news glad we are keeping him, just hope the alleged assault doesn't get in the way.

Well to be pretty honest I doubt any club is going to sign someone as a manager who is currently on bail.

I am pleased Gateshead just made that decision, but it must be disappointing for Dave Penney. His record at Doncaster was simply first-class. And despite his over the top celebrations after Wembley, Penney strikes me as a keen and shrewd observer of the game who combines well with Phil Brown. Let's hope Penney does not lose his job because of his post-Wembly antics.

Bit harsh:winking:

Did Timlin get the boot for his time in Chelmsford NO .So why should Penney get the sack because he had to much to drink and made a fool of himself by getting arrested .

Who said anything about him getting the sack?

I believe Kiwi Rob said I hope this Wembley post antics does not lead to him losing him his job .Maybe that's where I got it from

ahh ok, sorry i read that from a Gateshead perspective. He's out of contract so it's a bit different to the Timlin issue I think.

Thanks, Tampa Blue, for spotting my mistake. I have now inserted the missing word!

I certainly want Dave Penney to stay as Phil Brown's assistant manager.

Brian McDermott ex Reading Boss is favourite to get Plymouth Job so browney may get what he wants and both assistants stay

McDermott would be a very good appointment for Plymouth. If he gets the job it would be worth having a few quid on them for the Division 2 title next season.
