You can. Newcastle airport is at one end of the line which goes directly to Gateshead Stadium Metro station which is a 10 minute walk to the stadium itself.
Actually quite a nice trip as it goes over the Tyne on the QE2 Bridge near the Tyne Bridge for the classic panorama shot...
Unless there’s fog!

Gauging interest for the possibility of chartering a flight up to newcastle Monday morning from southend. Just made an enquiry to accommodate 75 people.

I just wanted to thank you for trying to get this trip organised and even if this one does not go ahead maybe in the future one will.

On the way back from Ebbsfleet I booked onto the coach as knew I had to be in attendance just in case. Previously I have flown to the games against Fiorentina and Stockport and would be keen to do so again in the future.

I remember many years ago (1992 I think) flying from Southend to Liverpool to watch us play Everton in the FA Cup. It seemed strange being in Southend around 11am and in Liverpool just after noon and then being back in Southend by 7pm! Good luck with the plane. If I still lived in Essex I would definitely fly but alas, I live in Norfolk so driving up there.
