I too , said I could not see us making the playoffs , on several occasions , even last month (although I did caveat that one with the phrase "unless Tamworth slip up" )I'm quite happy to admit that back in November I got it wrong when I predicted that we wouldn't make the play offs :I'm also happy that you obviously have no riposte to Keynes' famous remark.![]()
When was this?Anyone shed any light on the GUS and Noor bust up. Players having to hold Noor back. He looked like he was gonna chin Gus.
2nd half.When was this?
Didn’t even notice, was probably too busy cacking myself. Certainly looked fine after full time2nd half.
Gus shielded a ball out for a goal kick, then appeared to have a pop at Noor for not doing something. They then squared up.
Happens all the time. Heat of the moment stuff. Sure they were friends again at FT.
If this was the first game of the season I'd agree on Kendall and Bonne. Given the stakes I think Hopper is the better pick as the playoffs are away from home. Either way all three have something to offerBridge has looked more effective of late and that's a bonus at this stage of the season. I thought when Hopper returned he did little to warrant selection but he has contributed more and more with each game and is earning his dosh. I still think the extra busy of Bonne and Kendall together is my preferred pairing but it would be churlish to suggest Hopper should not play a part in each game. We need to concentrate more on the goals return with potentially three knockout games to come and, possibly misguidedly, I believe there are goals in our front line.
I never mind seeing this, shows passion and a will to win. We’ve been lacking that too often.Anyone shed any light on the GUS and Noor bust up. Players having to hold Noor back. He looked like he was gonna chin Gus.
Yeah, I saw it. Think it was Taylor in the middle of them. Heat of the battle, I’m sure it’s not been taken home.2nd half.

When Glenn Pennyfather saw it in commentary he said he had no problem with that as it showed how much they cared.Anyone shed any light on the GUS and Noor bust up. Players having to hold Noor back. He looked like he was gonna chin Gus.
He's been coming on for JB lately - so maybe because JB was doing well in the defensive work too yesterday?Don't know whether it's been mentioned before but I was so absorbed in the game to notice. Suddenly, a couple of minutes before the end Parillon was brought on and my immediate thought was, why wasn't he on earlier. Has anyone any idea why one of our most talented players only made a very late show?
Ahh, the man giving rise to half of 'Milton Keynes'. However did you know that he pronounced his surname as 'Kaynes' like cane not key so everyone gets the second bit of MK wrong. Pedantic I am I know!As JM Keynes said :-"If the facts change I change my mind .What do you do sir?
Yes, I wasn't alone as an undercover Shrimper in the home stand. I think the bottle blonde in white miniskirt and white high heels with the "Kiss Me Quick, F**k me Slowly" hat might have been one.......I think that was us Southend fans in their main stand. Most of their fans had cleared off after booing their team off the pitch.
If we needed to win, he would have come on earlier. The fact is, we didn't need to win and therefore, we didn't need to make an attacking substitution that may have opened gaps for them to exploit. We simply didn't need to take that gamble. The next game is a different kettle of fish though.Don't know whether it's been mentioned before but I was so absorbed in the game to notice. Ah, the old economics urban myth that the city is named after economists Milton Friedman and John Maynard Keynes. Like many new towns, it's named after one of the pre-existing villages in the locality, founded by Norman nobility. If you go back 800 years, I make your pronunciation of the city correct.Ahh, the man giving rise to half of 'Milton Keynes'. Yes, but you must know by now that us economists are really just story tellers. And some, just some, of it is true and accurateAh, the old economics urban myth that the city is named after economists Milton Friedman and John Maynard Keynes. I wonder if we had the same history teacher?Ahh, the man giving rise to half of 'Milton Keynes'. However did you know that he pronounced his surname as 'Kaynes' like cane not key so everyone gets the second bit of MK wrong. Pedantic I am I know!
