Rest assured people, the Trust is on the case, ideas are in the pipeline including various donate/pledge type ideas. Please link to the Trust's website for up to date information until they're able to offer a dedicated link.

Bad time of the year to fund raise, never mind, well done and good luck to those of the Trust. Yet another group of people Ron has kept in the dark.

Why would anybody wish to give more money to RM. He's had £000's from supporters via share offering. He acquired the club's assets, it's his responsibility to settle the debts.

Errrr......they're not, any monies raised will be handled by the Trust. Give them time to work out proper info please, we are volunteers and do have lives you know!

Like I posted in another thread here.

We could do some events such as penalty shootout competition, poker tournament, raffle, bingo, karaoke, car wash etc.

You obviously didn't read Rons statement too well. RM claims he has spent much of his own money so far - and he certainly is not the richest man in the world. Southend in league 1 at Roots Hall is a business that runs at a loss, certainly when spending £2m on planning applications for a new stadium.

So assume that the statement on the website is true, why should RM keep digging into his pocket when he gets thanks like this? Maybe he can no longer afford to do so (certainly this seems the case in the short term).

So I guess people want to help SUFC and not just RM, hence some ideas here.

Cricko has said he'd do a sponsored naked run down the seafront.

I suggest if people dont wish to see this then they all put hands in pockets.

I'll start with throwing in a tenner.

Only a tenner! I don't live by the seafront so it won't bother me ;)

I think a poker night or a pool/snooker night would be a great idea if it could be organised!

Agreed. I posted up and few ideas like these. I'd be up for a pool/snooker night, can anyone suggest a suitable place? (I live in Hawkwell and know a decent place to do it)

Trust ran a Poker Night very recently, don't think it was particularly well supported.

Well there are a few snooker clubs in the Leigh/Southend area but they are mainly owned by Rileys so don't know how feasible it would be
