Fuel Duty

No reversal (as of yet) on the statement given at the pre budget that fuel duty will rise again on April 1st 2009.. (from 52.35ppl to 54.19ppl)

Luckily prices have remained fairly steady since the turn of the year, but i bet it wont be revesed when the VAT is back from its 'holiday' at the end of the year

yes, on Dec 1st, there was a 2ppl rise from 50.35ppl to 52.35ppl.

AT the time Darling also added there would be a further rise on April the 1st.

Many feel that the one of the reasons the budget has been postponed to late April is so that this rise can sneak through as it isnt on budget day
