Nicky's gone, fine.  But Ron had the hump about the length of time Nic was taking and is quoted as follows:

"Nicky took a long time to say he wanted to stay and by then we had agreed terms with another party

So who's this other party we've agreed terms with then?  Sounds like the winger deal will be announced imminently...

That is also confirmed by Ron's comment on the official website, which almost seems a little bit bitter...

Makes me wonder whether the club hurriedly jettisoned Nicky when they realised they might get a better player somewhere else

Much as we&#39;d all rather have better players it does potentially put a different light on the &#39;he&#39;s taking too long to sign&#39; line that casts Nicky in the role of the bad guy...
