Campbell-Ryce's registration may be rushed through early so he can play tomorrow night.

I guess this means he'll miss the Hartlepool and Bournemouth matches at the end of December then.

Unless Cole picked up a knock on Saturday, I'd be tempted to wait until Saturday. We don't know what the injury/suspension situation will be at the end of December and if we need him then but can't play him through a technicality (i.e. the 3 month loan has expired and the transfer window hasn't opened) it will be really frustrating.

Couldn't we then just re-sign him on loan for 5 days or something? Would be a waste of the loan allocation, but if we needed him tat badly then, it's be worth it.

What is weird is why they're suddenly wanting to rush him through now. Someone else must be injured? Gower / Cole?

I heard a rumour last night from someone who knows Gower's brother that he might be out for the season as his back injury is worse than originally thought. (he said a slipped disc)

Don't really believe it though - surely the official site would have told us this!

I wont believe this until his milkman's cats's cousin tells me.

To be honest i wasn't impressed with Beno at all on the wing on Saturday. I thought his touch and passing let him down on many an occasion.

I thought this "emergency" loan thingy covered a maximum 93 days, which by my reckoning would mean he'd only miss the Bournemouth game. Which isn't so bad.

Would a slipped disc keep him out for the season? Anybody suffered this injury?

True post. But if they are rushing it through something must of happened to another player because I wouldn't of thought Tilly would of rushed in the transfer unless he needed to. At Christmas the games come thick and fast and will be the time of year that wil make or break our season I feel so we would need every player for every game. So if JCR was to go back three days early and miss the bournemouth game then I am curious to why that decision would be made.

A colleague of mine slipped a disc and was off work for the best part of 3 months. That did include an operation and recuperation, so it can be a long process.

I had a slipped disc on 3 seperate occasions. I can tell you I've never felt pain like it. In the end they removed the disk. I was off work for 7 weeks but it took about 2 years to "fully" recover. If I'd been a pro footballer and gone through it I would have had to retire, no doubt at all.

Its a gamble on the weather as well.

It would be a shame if JCR missed tomorrow only for essex to be hit with particularly bad weather at the end of the year and the Bournemouth game gets postponed .

His problem was that he was of positiont eh whole time, he was trying to play in the middle with Maher and Guttridge. I would be surprised if Beno gets a game tomorrow night to be honest, i think Tilly will go with Wayne on the wing, he has tried it before, not all/any of us agree with it, but i think thats what he will go with.

Pushing JCR's registration through makes no sense, as gaining this game, loses him two at the end of december, even if it was 1 game for 1 game would not make a great deal of sense, because he would be settled in by then, and the team would have to adjust. Also if Gower is out for the season, he obviously wont be able to come back in for those two games. I really cant see this being the case, we stil have players like Bentley and Smith, and what is the situation on Carly P for tomorrow?

also, looking at the goals, Benno was at fault for their first by not marking his man who had a free header

I really hope Gower's injury isn't as bad as some of us are expecting (Slipped disc) because he was returning to the form of his first season with us. He was beginning to regain his fitness and was looking extremely confident in possesion of the ball, and seemed spured on by the arrival of JCR to prove his the first choice right winger.

Anyways, I think Tilly will stick with the starting 11 that played Vs Rotherham. IF, and thats a big if, Tilly decides to change personal, it'll be Gray in for Lawson.
