Breaking News Freedman and Barnard Fit for Huddersfield

I hope not from the off. But we'll see.

Christmas isn't far off and I'd rather wait a week or so and have them at 85% match fit than the 70% they're probably at right now...

Doubt he will play them from the off, maybe last 10 minutes for one of them. Would rather have them from boxing day onwards..

I don't think it's sensible for them both to play from the start if they are both less than 100%. But it wasn't sensible to leave Walker on the bench at Leicester when he was the only striker scoring, so who knows what Tilly will do?

Great news, would be good if at least one of them made an appearance from the subs bench, think it would give everyone a lift. But I wouldn't want to risk them from the start.

Great to hear that they are back. IMO it would be a ridiculous decision to play two strikers that aren't match fit. Would like to see them both on the bench though and getting some minutes on the pitch.

However, we can't wrap them in cotton wool for too long. They need to be back out there getting minutes. I think Macca was given too long to regain match fitness and it was excused by his operation for too long. As soon as players are fit we need them performing.

We're getting perilously close to having the bench that Tilly has always wanted: a bench that can genuinely change the game. Having Dougie and Barny on the bench (and I don't think for a second either of them will start) would be fantastic if we're chasing the game in the last half hour or so...

Hope we start with Revs and Laurent, both have done well in the past month and don't really deserve dropping, although our forward showing at Leicester was poor.

Don't rush them back, I'd hate to see them get injured again.

we maybe chasing the game, but niether will get on until the 85th minuite, and the games alread lost.

Do we really think that Lee's not going to pick up another injury by Saturday? That's 2 days to manage without pulling something or having an accident. Isn't it tempting fate to even suggest he might be back?

It's good that they are making noises about being fit, but given neither has played any reserve team football to ease their way back to match fitness means that neither should realistically play a major part on Saturday.

Not only is there a risk of further injury if they are given too long, especially Barney as the mere thought of football usually ends up with him on the treatment table, but a certain Mr Walker deserves a start on Saturday for his recent goal scoring exploits.

If both make the bench, and he is left out completely, it would send out a ridiculous message from the manager, given that he has done everything that has been asked of him in recent weeks.

I really hope common sense prevails.

I doubt very much that Matt is match fit.

very good news. both will be on bench i expect with both to get 10 mins or so i guess going by tilly's track record with subs.

or will we suffer the 'back next week' again...

still, should Dougie return... gooooooood :)

i look forward to it

UTB

playing them against Huddersfield would be too much of a risk. I'm just glad they're both training again and shouldn't be too far off a return.

Yes, me too. My gut feeling is that Walker will make the bench alongside Barney and Freedman, with Grant and Sankofa completing the squad.

Be nice for Dougie to make an appearance from the bench of Saturday, Wouldn't risk starting him or Barney for a couple of weeks yet.

Revell and Laurent have been playing well.
