Just a heads up if you haven't seen already, EA are embarking on having their top titles available free online. Tiger Woods is the only one I know of that's available in open beta now and it's suits the PC well.

There's 8 courses to play on and they don't limit how much you play, it's pretty much a full-scale online version of Tiger Woods, totally free. You get your own golfer and build them up over time, trying to rank up and get more money to improve him.

I am pretty sure it is only a BETA version, so they are still testing it.

That's what I wondered. It is a beta but I'm 90% sure it will be free when it's released full version, I read it somewhere. Basically it wont be as fully featured as the console games as it's only got a few of game modes (play alone/play with another/play in a tournament) which are all basically the same thing, they'll add ways to buy credits into the pro shop and make money through that, and also have advertising before each round I would assume.

I still thought it wouldn't make enough money but EA know more than me.
