Fredy Eastwood

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but was anyone else discusted with Fredy's performance last night? He came on with a few minutes to go, looked sharp and really up for it, scored 2 goals and thinks thats enough.

Well, i'm sorry Mr Eastwood. I for one, was expecting a hattrick and was left very disappointed.

Could have been 3 had he not missed the open goal, which to his credit was behind him when he played it.

Thats the thing that always amazes me with Eastwood, he might miss an easy chance and then go on to score 2 fantastic goals like last night. I don't think there was a southend fan (or yeovil fan for that matter) in the ground last night who didnt think he was going to tuck them two chances away.

Says a lot for our great strikeforce when players like him are coming off the bench, it's almost embarrasing to have such quality on the bench

I think one thing showed up very well tonight, and Tilly alluded to it in his post match interview; workrate (and, consequently, working for the TEAM).

When Eastwood came on he spent the first 5 minutes virtually STANDING around asking for the ball to be played to him so he could attempt to beat 2 or 3 players and score a spectacular goal. Not one of our players did give him the ball in those circumstances.

As soon as he upped his workrate, pushing up on the last man and making runs off their shoulder THEN the balls came in to him and the rest is history. His quality is undoubtable and when he plays the team game, he's got goals aplenty in him.

I am liking thi at the mo. throw on a striker for the last ten minutes and guaranteed two goals! Eas-E!! Eas-E!!

Just what I was saying.

We bring on Smith, Eastwood and Cambell-Ryce. Three Quality players. And prior was still on the bench...Jeez

I think at 4-1 the easy chant is more than applicable, but when we equalised not so sure, still last night was EASY EASY EASY

The Easy chant did look good last night when nearly all of the west stand were doing it just before/after the final whistle.

Maybe SUFC should introduce a rule whereby you have to be a certain amount of goals ahead before unleashing the reallyannoyingyetgreatwhenyouarewinning easy chant, maybe then people would stop doing it after scoring an equaliser or one of their players gets a booking or something ridiculous like that.

I feel sorry for Freddy with the "open goal" chance. A leser player would not have been able to get he foot up, so it would of just hit him in the bolloxs and rolled in, but Freddy got his foot to it, but there was too much pace on it from Wayne, so good to see Freddy even getting in the position though, he is such a good striker.

Sell him (should get about £150K) and reinvest the money in some real talent.

That "sitter" Freddy missed probably cost me money. My mate and I had £2.00 on Blues winning 5-1 at 80-1. Not big bucks i know, but would have kept me in beer and curry for a day or two.

Completely agree....er what does "discusted" actually mean..?

even the players , especially JCR and Sir Adam , were joining in the EASY EASY chant , thankfully however it was after the final whistle, shows they are enjoying themselves i suppose ! at this rate dont be surprised to see Tilly n Brush in 70's style wrestling gear throwing each other around the centre circle at 1/2 time v Forrest

Damn this chant, and damn myself for getting carried away and chanting it when Freddy scored the fourth....

Bit unprofessional of the players to chant it though!
