Freddy move to Coventry back on

By all accounts, the move to Coventry was not dead in the water at all, there was allegedly some dispute between the agents fee and the salary.

According to a friend of Mrs AS who works offshore and is heavily involved with Wolves FC, the deal was never off, this guy only mentioned it to her because he knows that I am a Blues fan and thought I would be interested to know. He is off the opinion that same as most of us that MM is a toss*er for not playing him and he reckons most Wolves supporters are gutted that Freddy have has not had a chance to show them what he can really do and now never will.

Here's hoping it's £2m as per the BBC Gossip Column yesterday.
Is the sell-on clause 10, 20 or 25%?

Exactly mate......that is what is on my mind....i thouhgt it was 25%, can anyone confirm??

a nice £500k would not go a miss

It's %age of profit, not total fee I believe.

So then is that why Ron is claiming the fee is lesser than Wolves.
E.g. if Fred actually went for £750k & gets sold for £2m then that's £1.25m profit, and equates to approx £300k if the clause is 25%.

Bugger, so whne he goes to Coventy we will probably get next to nothing then??

yep. % profit fees seem to say (well at least to me) that it's a kind of gurarantee to the buyer that they are getting a good player. we may be holding out for 2m and wolves only offer 1.5m (made up figures) and because we can't reach a consensus, we might say, ok, put on a 25% profit fee because we know he is good, and worth more than 1.5m. if you sell him on we are pretty sure a profit will be made and we want a slice of it

obviously we didn't factor for MM being a prat over selections, and Freddy continuing to not do himself any favours with his off the pitch behaviour... and hence why Cov could snag a bargain and we could miss out
