thats quite funny. whats the latest news as i am away and cant get the echo at the mo. any one held responsible.

i personally think it is because we were singing you're not famous anymore so they burnt the pier so that they could say we are not famous anymore

Oh I forgot, "by far the greatest team the world has ever seen" resides in Southend.

Every time I hear that chant I think of the steward sotry that I posted on here where the guy telling the story says something along the lines of:

"I checked with a fellow steward and he confirmed that the 1970 Brazil team hold that honour and kicked the troublemakers out"

That chant was adapted during the mid 80's to

"we're by far the greatest team , this side of Leigh on Sea"

It was a touch more appropriate at the time
