Forest Officals........

HUTTON

Guest
they were the worst i have seen officals at a game, not for being crap but for being strict.  In the first 5 minutes two southend fans were thrown for persitant standing they were at the back and not blocking anyone.  When I went to loo another fan was thrown out,
'why's my mate been thrown out'
'none of your business'
'I want to now why the feck you have thrown him out'
'Don't swear at me, you are being ejected from the ground'

he was pushed out of that gate,

another fan was ejected for rude gestures but wat I heard from people round him he deserved it, but what about all the forest fans standing and rude gestures, i heard one fan go up the stewards and ask why nothing is being done about the Forest fans and the stewards reply sorry mate there's to many of them do anything, double standards

they were a bit silly IMO
not really necesssary - i'm sorry but making w%&ker signs to each other is not the ruin of a game for me

Stewards were will over the top. one rule for one and one rule for the other. I thought there stands were terracing with all them forest fans standing.

Also did any one see any of them pictures chucked from above us by the forest fans of the pier on fire and writing saying NFFC ON TOUR underneath.

What??

I heard them singing "1-0 and we burnt your pier" a load of b******s if you ask me.

something landed near me but the steward came down the stairs at the same time and pick it up

Shocking stewards.
Not just for us but for the home guys as well.

The bit above us i saw 3 get ejected from, and the other side in that top corner (where they stood up for the entire game) must have had 10-20 ejected, and of course our fans as well.

I wouldn't even call them stewards, more secruity.

But the main point here is the standing/sitting issue.

Its starting to get ridiculous at games with stewards.
For me it is not a safety issue, otherwise you would have to sit in your seat from the moment you get in the ground.

the majority of people stand at half time, yet this is acceptable, when for me there is a greater issue of safety with people trying to get through narrow passages with hot drinks and hot food.

so i'd say to every club its time to make up there minds, either let people stand for some of the match (or as most at the back of the stand, all the match)
or force people to sit for the ENTIRE game, before kick off, at half time, even when the team scores a goal.

yeah stewards to took it from me when i was showin it around. there was about 20 of them chucked dow.

Their stewards were a bunch of jobsworth muppets. After about 30 seconds one bloke got chucked out just for standing up and singing, despite the fact that there was no one behind him and he wasn't doing any harm. He was one of the stone island mob who came in late and went in the corner. For the rest of the game, our fans were getting chucked out left right and centre but of course it's ok for the home fans to stand up isn't it. Their support was sh*t anyway, only started singing after they scored and most of it was referring to our pier

. Excellent away support today lads well done.

tell u whats more shocking, people were being ejected for chanting come on southend, yet at the end of the game i needed to meet a photographer on the pitchside, and not one steward stopped me from entering the area, just let me walk past them, talk about double standards!

did love it when the whole stand refused to sit down, they couldnt do nothing, and the policeman chickened out nicking someone when everyone got on his back.

I think your argument about half time is well off the pace. People aren't trying to watch the match at half time.
Look if Stewards/jobsworths or whatever say sit down at away matches just do it. What's the point of travelling that distance to get thrown out.

Yeah, Nice gesture....

Stewards were well over the top today, Reminded me of Macclesfield last season, I think they were expecting something a little less than what we gave and at times they were overwhelmed. My personal favourite was the jobsworth who tried to eject someone for inciting a chant, and got nudged... resulting in him tripping over himself and falling down the stairs...

Well done to everyone for being supportive to others though, if we hadn't i think the situation could have gotten out of hand if they thought they could've walked all over us.

On the other hand, the situation outside the ground was handled well, Had a Nice few drinks in the Pub by the Cricket Ground... Was in there from 1pm onwards and as it got more and more filled with Southend fans, It got louder and louder with chants and the police outside and in were good willed enough to let it continue, even though Forest fans were present (Though, they did leave when it got loud)

The lads behind me replied with 'where's your Cloughie gone?'. Equally disrespectful.

i know the F.A are clamping down on people sitting down, but they seemed to intrested in us, and forgot about there own fans standing up nearly all game to the left of us, and people moan about our stewards. When will they realise they are not a big club anymore, and they will never see Manchesters or the Arsenal supporters there again.
