Hello, fellow football fans!

I am here as part of my research into a new project, looking at ways to help supporters reduce the cost off attending modern day football.

Would you mind taking a moment to complete the attached simple survey.

We are looking at potential ways to help football supporters reduce theirs costs of attending football matches and your responces would give us valuable feeback on what is important to fans who do travel to games, home and away, however often.

Many thanks.

Have done so, questions 3 and 6 are basically the same though aren't they? And question 12 should have an "I don't wish to be contacted" or "I'm not interested" option.

I have filled in the questionnaire, but I think has been designed to get the results they want and the need a box for any other comments.

Sure everyone wants the match days to be cheaper, but the reason I don't to more away games (I'll do around 16 this season) is I work some Saturdays, the time it takes to travel down from Yorkshire and I can't do a Tuesday night game without stopping over and taking leave.

I am sure others will also have different reasons.

Yes, good point MIAS. Hubby's job makes it very difficult to do away games as Saturday is his biggest earning night of the week so we tend to do the closer games that mean he can still go out in the taxi, and then one or maybe two longer away trips with a possible stop over, as we are doing this weekend.

70+ miles round trip for me, just for home games, still always worth it. Will leave at about 4.30 today , persuaded son to drive, arrive early traffic willing, visit club shop, buy a programme, have a hot dog, early beers , then get burgerred up on way home , wake the wife by accident at about midnight , the usual loved pattern!
