I found this while looking on Bristol City website http://www.bcfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10327~2750437,00.html
Reckon a lot of lower league clubs will struggle to fill their quota?
Someone told me about the seven subs article so I had a look! :thumbsup:Very interesting, but why on earth were your browsing the Bristol City website?
So they bring in wage caps as they want squads to be smaller. So they're going back to making you name bigger match day squads? Bizarre.
Put a couple of kids on the bench to gain the match-day experience and atmosphere.
Ridiculous decision that just encourages sides to carry too big a squad.
This just increases clubs travelling costs: another two heads to feed, another hotel room to book.
And for what? To deprive youth team players of youth team football on Saturday so they can sit on a bench; to remove the need for players to develop the versatility to play and understand multiple positions.
Absurd.
This is good for squad morale and also the fact that a GK will be on the bench, which makes everyone feel more comfortable.
Agree with this, i'd go as far as saying i think it should be compulsory that 2 are 18 and under
