After today's postponement, all eyes on next week.

They play Tuesday night, after playing Tuesday and Saturday this week, whereas we will have had 2 weeks without a game.

They've won their last 4, thanks to Cian Bolger's injury time winner today, and are unbeaten in 10, having won 10 of their last 16, so it's a tough fixture.

I'd go:
Smith,
Demetriou, Thompson, Ferdinand, Coker,
Atkinson, Leonard, Wordsworth, Timlin,
Cox, Fortune

Think the big call for PB will be whether he goes for Timlin or Hines on the left. Has to be Smith in goal for me.

Thoughts and predictions? Who's making the trek?

Agree with that team.

Worth mentioning that not only do Fleetwood play on Tuesday, but it's away at Sheffield United!

I'm good with the Manor15 selection box. With Fleetwood being on a roll I think it's an ideal time for us to give them a damn good thrashing, surprising all the critics on the way. 2-0 to the Blues, you heard it here first.:smiles:

Thought they were the best team we've played at home ( including Sheffield Utd ) so will be a tough one for sure

We (Southend United) have moved on a bit since then. The Fleetwood manager seems quite a capable chap - I am surprised he hasn't been linked with some of the other managerial vacancies that come up.

Have we ever won at Highbury? I have only ever seen us draw there including the first game of last season when Worrall scored an equaliser. I wonder if Bolger was playing for us that day. I think it was Wordsworth's first start for us in a league match.

We be gunning for revenge over them, as we was awful at Root Hall & looked like a relegation materials than a side that pushing for play off & we never won at Highbury, hopefully we get new forward in as PB put a bid for a Championship forward, by 28th we could have enough firepower to see them off I hope.

They've beaten Sheffield United 2-0 at Brammall Lane tonight, with Bolger singled out for a superb performance.

That means we'll win 1-0 with a Bolger own goal, right?

Very very tough game. In form, just beaten Sheff Utd, do well to get a positive result from this game. Win would be great but think it will be 1-1

Good result Peterborough losing their game in hand. With Fleetwood flying higher it's about nicking Rochdale or Bradfords place now I think.A win at Fleetwood would be great but a draw wouldn't be bad if other results go our way.

Difficult fixture this,Fleetwood from all i hear playing very good football,Cian Bolger will be wanting to show PB why he believed he should have been a 1st team regular here.I think Oxley maybe back between the sticks for this one ,hopefully we can get a point minimum from this, but not very confident.

Fleetwood have been playing with a back 3, much like Sheffield United. Brown changed the formation around against the Blades to counteract that formation, with little success. Whatever formation he picks, it has to be a formation with width. We need to get down the sides of the CB's and expose the wing back's. This is something we categorically failed to do against Sheffield United. Let's hope the lesson has been learned.

Let's hope Bolger has a game where he tries too hard and ends up making errors because he seems to be right on his game at the moment.

Same line up I would have chosen last weekend:
Smith
Demetriou, Thompson, Ferdinand, Coker
Leonard, Timlin, Wordsworth, Hines
Cox, Fortune

Not sure Hines' knee is up to a whole game or not yet, but with McGlashan banned and McLaughlin out, I don't think there's a lot of choice. Of course, we could have Atkinson instead but that would make us very narrow with no natural winger. The only other option is to start O'Neill and push Timlin out on the left a bit. Demetriou and Coker need to push on though.

Two in form teams. Last 10 games;

Fleetwood W7 D3 L0
Southend W5 D4 L1

So, based on that, if it were boxing, a home win on points. But it isn't so a draw looks likely to me.

And that, Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, is exactly what should happen. But with neither Mac' I don't think it will. Hines on one wing, the other...hmmm...

This will be a real test at there ground, even with there average crowds of 3,038, poor crowds:'(

Looking at that figure, 3,038, small crowds. But the capacity there is just over 5,300. Given where they were ten years ago (Northern Premier League), I'd say those crowds aren't too bad.

Smith
Coker Thomson Ferdinand Demetriou
Timlin Leonard Wordsworth Atkinson
Cox Fortune

Tell Timlin and Atkinson to run until they drop then replace them with Hines and Bridge later on.

We are lacking width in the squad at the moment with the two Mac's out.

Would snap your hand off for a point at the moment.

Sheff Utd have imploded a bit since they beat us only picking up 1 point from 3 matches, including shipping 4 at Walsall.

Fleetwood are unbeaten in a lot of games, but have had a similar run of fixtures to what we had in November and December.

They have played Chesterfield, Shrewsbury, Wimbledon, Walsall, Swindon, Bury, Oldham, Shrewsbury, Bristol Rovers, Coventry and then Sheff Utd.
