Flahavan

He can save shots, but the rest of his game is not up to scratch. I think it should be a priority to look for another keeper in the window.

Hmmm,

Given our lack of defensive cover and current inability to score goals, coupled with the fact we have conceded just once in four games I wouldn't say a goalkeeper is our priority...

I like flahavan but he takes to long to get the ball out he always waits for the opposition to get 10 men behind the ball before he releases it,and his kicking is sh!t and why does he always look for gower is he good in the air.

Reminds me - one highly amusing kick from Flavs yesterday went straight into the tv gantry at the top of the West Stand! Not just a small error!

His kicking isn't "sh!t". Yesterday, it was, I agree, but on the whole his kicking is pretty strong. It's certainly far better than most keepers.

He looks for Gower because he's told to look for Gower. Sitting next to the bench, I know that. Not to mention the fact Gower puts his hand up at a goal kick and neither Gray or Freddy want it anywhere near their heads.

Far bigger problems in the team than the keeper, Captain Clueless, you and Kev!

I really question the logic of some of our fans, ofcourse we dont need a goaly when wev had 3 clean sheets in last 4 and only let 1 in last 4, scoring only 1 in 4 games surely points to strikers.....

I suspect he doesnt throw the ball out quickly as he probably has a lack of faith in Jupp and Wilson to do anything with it.
When we were on our good run, he was throwing it more often and the passing game was good. Now the passing game has gone and it looks like the whole team have lost confidence in their ability to outplay the opposition.

Maybe if Daryl started throwing the ball out the team could gain some confidence and get back to some good passing football.

I'm more concerned with his inabilty to claim crosses properly whilst prefering to punch the ball feebly back to the opposition who position themselves for the 2nd phase attack.

I feel that Flavs is a very good shot stopper but his lack of confidence in the air really lets him down.

I'm starting to think that there's more to your relationship with old shorty than just blindingly defending him on this board.
