Flahavan stalling on contract

fbm

Blue tinted optimist⭐🦐
Is trying to re-negotiate his terms, which apparently are not the same as discussed in April. Is however confident he will stay.

Echo.

Here we go again.....

Possibly, although I've got some sympathy.... if I was in their shoes and had just played a big part in winning promotion, I'd expect a bit of a pay rise! 10% as a minimum...

Or how about we realise that he is a new father who is obviously trying to get the best deal for him and his family.
He isnt holding the club to ransom. He and his agent will realise that we have Bart and would be able to get suitable cover for the Bartman should Flavs not sign.
While we are at it how about we also recognise what a great season Flavs has actually had. How much his game has improved.

I for one hope that he signs a new contract and proves that he can step up a level and perform between the sticks for SUFC

So what was the excuse 2 years ago....at the end of the day he is trying his luck....good luck to him but he should remember what happened last time.

This is precisely why we should have held on to Tes the Cat for a few weeks.

i beleive alot of the players that were brought in under tilly and brush were on pennies. it seems as though the club are trying it on and seeing if they can get them to sign on the same clauses, which i dont blame them for doing. i have no worries that they will offer them enhanced offers. Problem is that players who signed 2/3 year contracts are on league 2 wagesa and i wonder if the likes of flavs, nicky and cheese are after league 1+ wages. it could cause some unrest if the club offer them substantially higher wages but i think tilly and brush will show them the door if they take the $%&*, as the list of released players show, theres certainly enough quality to replace them and none of them are 'core' players as such

Too true!!

I agree with you 100% on this!

Why cant SUFC just sort it out and lets keep some continuity in the team for next season, and with that on board, hopefully the momentum can make us challenge for promotion again next season.

I've got no sympathy for Nicky, and only a little more for Che, I can see where Flavs is coming from. You can't offer someone a certain deal, only to change it and offer them a lesser deal 2 months later. Especially as his best performances came after April.
