The HMRC's scheduled winding-up hearings against football clubs:

3 Feb Accrington Stanley
10 Feb Cardiff City,Hinckley Utd,Portsmouth
17 Feb Burscough
24 Feb Notts County
10 March Chester City

It's going to be a busy month or so in the Winder's Court.
Any bets as to who's going to go out of business first?

Would say Chester are probably the most likely to go out of business.

Notts county found new investment didnt they? so they might be safe..

Chester might as well close tomorrow.

Accrington found investment from a local millionaire I think.

Cardiff City, Burscough and Hinckley I don't know too much about.

Notts County did find new investment last week, whether it was enough remains to be seen.

Portsmouth is as good as anyones guess. They might have sold Kaboul for £5m, but they owed Spurs around £3m I think. Begovic is as good as gone for £3m, and James could go if they need extra money. Doesn't look good for them though, as they failed to pay their players again last week.

Hope Hinckley United don't go out of business. They had a decent cup run a few years ago and got Man United in the practice run for the 3rd round, they lost the 2nd round replay but they used the money very well and got a new stadium.
