Look's like the game against Ipswich at Portman Rd will be a midday K.O on Saturday March 10th instead of 3pm....

No real surprise.

Boo.

That means I'll have to book the day off work

I think its probably more down to police advice rather than Sky showing it...

Although I wouldn't rule it out.

Can I just add this is yet to be confirmed, I just saw it on another footy message board.

I received my first football convicition at Ipswich at home, when Marsh scored that screamer. My second football conviction was against Ipswich away the next season .they are deffinately my Boggie team. And will be avoiding the town on the day

I'm sure that the club is in talks with a number of clubs to switch the fixture to Friday night... How many times have we lost on a Friday in the last two seasons? I'd bet it's not a lot...

Personally, I hope not.

What stuck out to me with the fixtures though was, because one of the first things I did was to check who we were playing on the first weekend of September as I'm stuck at a wedding in Devon, that we've got the weekend off due to, I imagine, an International weekend!

Now we know we've gone up the ladder.

I love Friday games, however now we are in the championship I dont think we will be allowed to, unless its for a sky tv game.

Think what you have to remember is friday nights that will have over 9,000 people when most of the police will be trying to keep an eye on the clubs and pubs in town aswell as having to police a Southend game, I don't think Southend police will want to stretch their resources so much.

Very few (if any) Championship clubs would agree to a change to a Friday night game unless for Sky.

If it is changed at this early stage, it won't be anything to do with Sky, as they only pick their matches for live broadcast for the first half of the season in the summer, and then start to choose the rest of their games around Christmas time.

Leeds at home on St paddy's day could be another re-arrangement? I certainly don't fancy a few thousand Leeds fans in town when everywhere's gonna be packed!

I take it back. Coventry have switched for us.
