Films that made you go......

On the same theme as a few other threads what has been the film that's made you at some point wince, look away or cringe at the shear level of violence and realism?

For me it has got to be Quentin Tarrantino's 'The Hostel' ... the realism on the sick violence had me squirming in my seat. Especially the scene in which one of the captive students has his achilles tendens cut with a scalpel and then being told he can try and leave. Makes me cringe just thinking about it

The one that always springs to mind is the murder in the opening scenes of American History X - Edward Norton's character makes a guy lie face down in the road and bite the kerb with his mouth wide open. He then proceeds to stamp on the back of the guys head with full force. Jesus H Christ

Yup, I was just going to put American History X. The noise his teeth make on the pavement makes me want to cry.

Honourable mention to Flash Gordon for that bit where Peter Duncan sticks his hand in the tree stump...

That bit in Bambi where the youngster kept slipping about on the ice

Thats quality that bit, cracking film.

Another bit in Saw II is when the syringe is in the box, and the daft cow puts her hands in without thinking of the circumstances...

hence holes being covered with a mechanism involving razor sharp blades, and them digging into her wrists.

Yeah that is pretty bad that bit.

Anothr pretty violent scene is from Casino when Tommy (Joe Peschi) put the blokes head in a vice and basically bursts his eyes out with the pressure on his temple.

He can have it back JC but its covered in claret due to an unfortunate incident on the train home from Cheltenham about 2 years ago!.

The dog may have something to say though about some geezer he don't know nicking his favourite blanket.

really?! saw the film and thought the scenes of violence were laughable! they were so badly done! was suprised that tarantino would have produced that, but then again he did create one of the worst films ever made; kill bill!

for me it has to be (once again) the scene in american history x! a truly horribly gruesome, yet fantastic, film!

Scum.
I wouldn't have wanted to be on the end of Ray Winstone beating someone over the head with a couple of snooker balls in a sock.
And the potting shed scene...eew!

Not really a film, but did anyone see the footage when Jamiroquai got nutted by that photographer. If I hadn't have been ****ing myself laughing at the time I would have felt it.

Would love to see that.

Passion of the Christ was pretty horrible.
90 minutes of a man being tortured. Difficult to watch.

Hostel, quality film. This bit didn't make me go ouch but made me wince big time.

A chinese bird has a eye ball hanging down from her eye socket and our hero cuts it off and loads of yellow puss started pouring out, disgusting.
