EA have announced the leagues that will be in the 360 version of Fifa 07 - in UK, it's the Prem only. No champ, lg1, or lg2. Not even the SPL!!!

Absolutley disgraceful. I can see them losing a lot of customers over this.

Fifa is a very poor cousin of Pro Evo anyway, the game plays **** in comparison.

Lets face it the last time Southend were in an EA game the colour of the players were completely wrong. Jay Smith anyone? Can't say I'm at all bothered what EA do.

i can't - Microsoft have bought the rights to both Fifa and pro evo now, and you wont be seeing this on the ps3 atall, or the new nintendo wii

you will be fine. Only the next-gen (X360) version will have the cut-down leagues (Prem only in England). This is because the game is a total reboot, back to the drawingboard, new engine designed purely for next-gen consoles. All the other versions (GC, PS2, PC) use the old Fifa engine, with the usual updates and improvements, and as such WILL feature the Championship, lg1, lg2 et al - complete with up-to-date transfers, kits, badges etc. So please don't be put off if you are buying a current-gen version all you PS2 owners.
The 360 version will be a completely different game, unfortunatley at the expense of many teams. However, it is apparently going to be amazing.

lost you may be Mike but as an added touch of realism your SPANISH SHRIMPERS flag is in the game whenever Southend are playing!

anyhoo....just had a quick game of Fifa 2007 for PS2. Curiosity raised by a good review in a PS2 mag this month I thought I'd give it a look. As is always the case with the FIFA games the presentation is spot on with slick menus and a rocking soundtrack (Sewn by The Feeling though???). Just gave Col U a quick 3-0 thrashing, and after the initial hype - the gameplay was still miles behind Pro Evo. It was better then Fifa 05, 06 and the other 4 Fifas before that but it still aint right for me. The goalies are still naff and the way the ball moves around just isn't as convincing as Pro Evo.

The Southend squad....Jay Smith is white again!!!! Michael Ricketts looks like he should be fast bowling for Pakistan and Kevin Maher looks like he's just been through chemotherapy (you'll see what I mean). Just looked in edit mode and you can't edit their appearances to put it right either. The data was taken on 27th August so no Harrold or Hooper but Clark and Paynter are in there, they can be transferred in though.

ok, first impressions last night weren't great but on further play tonight it's grown on me slightly. Just had a cracking league cup match against Tranmere which I lost 2-1 and spent the last 10 minute bombarding their goal in search of an equaliser. The first time since about Fifa 99 that I was actually left wanting more at the final whistle.

I still maintain it's not a Pro Evo beater but certainly a much improved effort from the EA boys.

Sounds like its got some nice touches in it.

Gonna take a trip into town and rent it for PSP - meant to have everything the PS2 version has bar the interactive league thingy.
