We are top of League 2 (jointly with York City) for having the least league goals scored at home in 2014, just 38.

We scored only 26 (not good enough) but conceded just 12 (well done to Bentley and the defence).

Clearly '' Fortress Roots Hall ''

Twentysix goals !

:thumbdown::thumbdown:

I counted 28 goals in 27 home league games (inc Play-Off) in 2014. Could of counted wrong though. Either way that is shocking. Thank god the defence is solid or we would be in all sorts of trouble. No wonder people are bored to death at Roots Hall.

The 12 conceded is the BEST stat for ANY team in the leagues anywhere, big well done to our defence!

but it's dull as ditch water to watch - which many prefer not to...
That assertion is certainly not supported by attendance figures. Our average attendance this season is between 5,700 and 5,800 - well above the 5,034 for the 2012/13 season (the last before Brown's tenure).

Totally agree with those who say we need to be scoring more goals, but let's not add 2 and 2 to make 5.

Fantastic from a defensive point of view but shock horror, no where near good enough from the forward line. Oh yeah, that'd be the non existent forward line we've had pretty much since Brown took over!

just out of interest where did you get this data from , I have never seen data by years, only by season hence my question

Are you sure , Chelsea have concerned 3 this season at home and 11 last season . That means that they must have conceded only 3 of those goals last season in 2013 which would be somewhat impressive

Certainly this season there are well in excess of 20 teams that have conceded less at home that we have

We played 23 league games winning 10 drawing 9 and losing 4...scoring 25 conceding 12 collecting 39 points.

We actually dropped 30 points during this period.

16 of these games resulted in the team scoring one or zero(wonderful entertainment).

The defensive record is outstanding considering we actually conceded 3 in one game so only 9 conceded in22 games!

If my math is correct.

It must be really depressing not ever seeing us win any games yet still feel bitter when we lose that you need to inundate shrimperzone.

The information was from the official Football League 2 Twitter feed. Apparently we had 24 home League 2 matches in 2014 ( 1 more than a regular season ) . The figures exclude play-offs.
