Joins Bedford Town

8/12/16

Bedford Town have completed the transfer of Femi Orenuga from Farnborough Town.

Orenuga is returning to the Eyrie having played under Jon Taylor last year before leaving to join Farnborough.

The 23 year old midfielder has played for Everton and Southend, before spells at Gloucester City, Corby Town, Wealdstone, Enfield and Whitehawk.

Nothing necessarily. Just an example of how someone who has great potential at 15 can fail to amount to anything by the age of 18. There are hundreds of Femi Orengua's.

Absolutely that. Some players are great at 15 and then do not develop (or even go backwards) and some players at 18 go into non-league as they aren't good enough and then rise up the leagues as they develop and mature both physically and mentally.

I remember being in the tunnel preparing to do the Man of the Match presentation as Femi came on in that Luton game, and a desperate Mick Harford was having a lively conversation with the 4th official asking if 15 year olds were allowed to play in the cup...turns out they were!

Spent the last half an hour trying to make an anagram out of his name.

Blimey, it's harder than you think this lark!

Orange fits, but too many vowels left!

Been playing in Sunday League for a while since coming back from Australia it seems & banging goals in there, might be looking to get back into Saturday football...
