Genuinely I don't think in my 50 plus years as a Shrimper that the fans and Club have been as together as they are today. Through success and failure I always felt the Club didn't embrace the Supporter's and really didn't appreciate them to the level they should. The winds of change started with the arrival of the 3 Amigos and from the depths of despair born from winding up orders, embargos and far two many months of a drawn out takeover, thankfully leading to COSU and a wonderful culture of bring in it together coming to Roots Hall our spiritual home. I remember a time when we sang Southend and Proud of it, it seems appropriate again!

Just goes to show how the Rat had dragged this club down! People thought Jobson was bad but Rat managed to top that.

I never thought Anton Johnson could be topped but the Rat managed even that feat. Jobson was a mere beginner.
