FC- week 6

loz

President
I'll start it off this week. Home to Oliver's XI in a game I should be aiming to win. though i've got a few players down to invigorated, his fitness problems are worse, and I can rest players in comfort on friday as I've got a bot team in the OD league. I've set a dusty pitch, on what are think are quite sensible grounds:

- my best bowler is a spinner
- he doesn't have any.

see?

Playing the side that is 2nd in our division, expecting to get beat as he has a player with BTR of 142,530, wages of 82,243, and a FC batting average of 2,102 ! 8 inns, 7no's, with 7 tons and a best of 406*

Brucie and Big O are both at Invigorated, so rest until Friday, Des and The King are both at Energetic but will play. Everyone else is Sublime.

My oppo has all sorts of fitness problems, 5 of his top 6 are fair or below and the one that is fit appears to be a high WK with no batting. Consequently we rest the Big 3 - Suthers, Cooky & Richie.

We're home so I'm hoping to roll them out quickly then bat for an eternity.

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Ganzfeld

We can tell you that BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this partially cloudy and humid day.

83k pw man plays and opens the batting, could be a long day in the dirt for my boys.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

1 1=6 v DIBS DIPPERS

We can tell you that 1 1=6 won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this sunny day.

1.6 . Ross to Murray
Full on off stump, firmly driven along the ground, straight to mid off.
1.5 6 Ross to Murray
New ball please! That one has disappeared out of town.

0.6 . Mushtaq to Allen
Angled in, managed to defend it out to the off.
0.5 W Mushtaq to Jeffery
Hits him on the foot right in front of middle stump. Start the long walk, you're out!
0.4 W Mushtaq to Lewis
A massive edge and it's caught behind by Askew!

My oppo opens the bowling with this player,

Kaushal Croos (260324)

LH Batsman, LFM Bowler, proficient batting form, superb bowling form, fresh
A defensive player with woeful leadership skills and proficient experience.

Part of the Sri Lanka squad
Plays For: Blue Star CC
Nationality: Sri Lanka
Age: 23 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 210,790
Wages: £103,000 p/w

And he got Flood out last ball of his over.

End of Over 2 (1 runs, 4lb). Southend United: 9-1, runrate=4.50
Croos 1-0-1-1
Bartlett* 4 (6 balls)

Did anyone else notice that as the match was being calculated before the start that the players fitness went down, then back up when the game started.

Eagles 3-0-7-0
Kone* 13 (25 balls)

opposition have clearly come to attack... yawn

We can tell you that Pettefershire CCC won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this partially cloudy and humid day.

Last Wicket: Murray c & b. Ross 22 (FOW: 36/2)

9.6 W Ross to Murray
Murray smashes the ball straight back to Ross, who puts out his hand and pushes the ball up in the air to be taken on the second attempt. Caught and bowled.

Bugger

End of Over 11 (4 runs, 1lb). Napster's XI: 41-3, runrate=3.73

10.6 . Daniell to Back
Worked around the legs, square leg running in to field.
10.5 W Daniell to Booth
Booth knocks the ball into the stratosphere. It goes high in the air and like a meteor it hurtles towards Islam who bravely holds on to the catch. His hands will certainly be sore for a good week.

Loads of leather-chaising going on, only good thing is that nobody has been on long enough to knacker themselves out :)

Mohammed 12-1-42-1
Crane* 46 (69 balls)
Hearn 2 (12 balls)

Last Wicket: Holsgrove b. Mohammed 2 (FOW: 106/3)

Playing the team I'm guessing is bottom. Should be a very easy win. I'm hoping I bowl them out very, very quickly as I have major fitness issues with my bowlers.

Lost the toss so am batting. Holt, my trainee batsman has just made what I think is his maiden century, so hopefully a nice experience pop there. 195-0 off 29.1 overs.

spinners doing the business here

End of Over 30 (1 runs). Oliver's XI: 72-3, runrate=2.40
Craddock 6-0-21-2
Fletcher* 32 (89 balls)
Simkins 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Bennett lbw b. Craddock 10 (FOW: 72/3)

Fantastic bowling! The arm ball beats Bennett and hits his pad right in front of middle. The umpire raises the finger straight away.
