FC Week 10

BILLERICAY BLUE

Rose Tinted Brigade Member⭐⭐🦐
With promotion already secured, I'm giving my II's a run-out. Could be carnage....

Wrayburn Wranglers v BATTY SHRIMPERS

We can tell you that Wrayburn Wranglers won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking like a road. As flat as a pancake. No help for the bowlers on this sunny day.

The players are off the field for lunch.

End of Over 35 (2 runs, 1lb). Wrayburn Wranglers: 164-1, runrate=4.69
Overs left today: 75
Gooding 5-0-26-0
Longrigg* 46 (46 balls)
Herring 95 (106 balls)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB (5th) playing the bottom side, and she needs to pick up 2 more points than the side in 4th to avoid relegation.

DIBS DIPPERS v Hat Trick Heroes

We can tell you that Hat Trick Heroes won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this partially cloudy and humid day.

The players are off the field for lunch.

End of Over 35 (7 runs). DIBS DIPPERS: 206-0, runrate=5.89
Overs left today: 75
Horsfield 7-0-41-0
Morgan* 97 (99 balls)
Potter 107 (112 balls)

Suthers takes wicket three and with that bonus point we've confirmed promotion to FC III.

Welcome to Delilah's sticky wicket for the match between Tom Jones Enthusiasts and Southend.

We can tell you that Southend won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this partially cloudy and humid day.

Lets join our team for ball-by-ball commentary.

End of Over 57 (1 runs). Tom Jones Enthusiasts: 157-6, runrate=2.75
Overs left today: 53
Rautenbach 12-5-21-0
Harbin* 68 (157 balls)
McDermott 0 (11 balls)
Last Wicket: Mampe c. Thay b. Rennie 12 (FOW: 156/6)

Bowling first as we go for promotion. Good start under cloudy and humid conditions. The side in 2nd start the final game 1 point behind, and they are 159-4, a long way from full batting points.

End of Over 59 (Maiden). Chris Cavemen: 122-9, runrate=2.07
Overs left today: 51
Lake 10-2-21-3
Frans* 15 (47 balls)
Mohammed 6 (39 balls)
Last Wicket: Ehiogu b. Cahill 47 (FOW: 101/9)#

At last

The players are off the field for the change of innings.

Cavanagh 11 (15 balls)

Last Wicket: Bradford b. Johnson 9 (FOW: 33/1)

With only second place up for grabs now I'm looking to win and win well. They collapse from 73-2 to finish:

End of Over 37 (Maiden, 1lb). Elvyn Moor: 89-8, runrate=2.41
Trail by 272 runs. (Southchurch Village CC 361-3 dec)

Shashidhar 10-7-8-4
Barend* 0 (11 balls)
Cornwall 0 (4 balls)
Last Wicket: Fraser b. Williams 2 (FOW: 88/8)

Shash on a dusty in bowler friendly conditions returns some great figures.

98-1 at close and not looking good. Not a great finish to the season looming but all the hard work has been done!

Well done B - nice work - hope the holiday is going well!

Kev

Bowled out my second placed opponents for 126 at my place and I'm 109 for 3 in response. Long way to go but it seems I may have killed their promotion chances. First are also playing third with third having the slight edge. Can't wAit to get back to this level season after next

Ressie's did well to bowl them out yesterday, but it will be all over today if the follow-on is enforced.

End of Over 4 (4 runs). BATTY SHRIMPERS: 11-1, runrate=2.75
Trail by 427 runs. (Wrayburn Wranglers 438-10)
Tonge 2-0-6-1
Brush* 0 (10 balls)
Denvers 4 (6 balls)

Last Wicket: Ricketts b. Tonge 7 (FOW: 7/1)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB struggling to bowl out the bottom team, in a must-win game.

End of Over 51 (Maiden). Hat Trick Heroes: 175-1, runrate=3.43
Trail by 191 runs. (DIBS DIPPERS 366-0 dec)
Rogan 10-2-43-0
Maylett* 107 (157 balls)
Gilbert 57 (147 balls)

Last Wicket: Duhaney-riley lbw b. Eagles 0 (FOW: 0/1)

Second place got full batting points, so I need 320 runs to be level on points with them if we both win. Could be tight, we've lost 3 wickets today despite conditions suiting batting.

End of Over 55 (5 runs). Southend: 204-4, runrate=3.71
Lead by 25 runs. (Tom Jones Enthusiasts 179-10)
Overs left today: 93
McDermott 12-2-52-0
Tsietsi* 10 (8 balls)
Granville 33 (56 balls)
Last Wicket: Hazel c. Cox b. Mampe 8 (FOW: 182/4)

Got full bonus points and just need to win to confirm promotion to III also,

End of Over 14 (1 runs). Chris Cavemen: 39-6, runrate=2.79 (1st Inn: 123-10)
Trail by 205 runs. (Southend United 367-2 dec)
Overs left today: 42
Cahill 2-0-6-1
Nicholas* 3 (12 balls)
Jack 0 (3 balls)
Last Wicket: Shanks b. Cahill 2 (FOW: 39/6)

Done,

And that's the end of the match. Southend United won by an innings and 199 runs.

End of Over 29 (Maiden). Chris Cavemen: 45-10, runrate=1.55 (1st Inn: 123-10)
Trail by 199 runs. (Southend United 367-2 dec)
Overs left today: 27
Gichki 6-5-1-1
Mohammed* 0 (3 balls)
28.4 W Gichki to Jack
Jack moves across his stumps to an inswinger and pays the price. No hesitation from the umpire there, the finger goes straight up.

Well done mate

Making a better fist of it 2nd time around, might even take it into a 3rd day :)

Wrayburn Wranglers v BATTY SHRIMPERS

BATTY SHRIMPERS have resumed their innings.

played a largely reserve side, won by an innings and 168 to finish 4th. good tail-waggage in our first innings, my no.9 and 10 each finished on 34n.o.

poor old Reeves however, produces match figures of 11-38 along with his 34 and is beaten to the MOTM award by some guy called 'none awarded'..

Won by an innings and three runs. Relegated but finished 5th and very upbeat.

Payne, the bowler who destroyed my team with figures of 6-8 off 10 overs in the first and 3-16 off 18 in the second wasn't MOM either, it also went to none awarded, bit of a choker.
