FC - Match 6

* ORM *

Still Loves Emma Bunton. Roy McDonough is God!
Good news. Opps have thrown the game. Bad news I'm full strength. Hopefully invigorated all rounder won't get to bat and will only bowl a few today and can be stood down tomorrow. All eyes on 1st place. If he draws I'm top

Southend (5th) v BATTY SHRIMPERS (1st)

Reverse fixture from last week. We've left out Lindop, but with 8 bowlers now, we can afford to do so.

Muse won the toss this time, and chucked us in to bat, but we've made a good start.

We can tell you that Southend won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this partially cloudy and humid day.

End of Over 24 (Maiden). BATTY SHRIMPERS: 88-0, runrate=3.67
Overs left today: 86
Doolan 4-2-5-0
Tyas* 53 (83 balls)
Pollock 34 (61 balls)

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Marsh Harriers (6th) v DIBS DIPPERS (2nd)

A win for Mrs BB roday, will leave MH cut adrift at the bottom. Mrs BB's bowlers looking a liitle tired, so she's left a couple out, and decided to bat to try and give the rest of them another day's rest.

We can tell you that DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking like a road. As flat as a pancake. No help for the bowlers on this partially cloudy day.

End of Over 26 (1 run). DIBS DIPPERS: 75-0, runrate=2.88
Overs left today: 84
Porage 5-1-10-0
Zubair* 35 (82 balls)
Stride 38 (75 balls)

Lost the toss and batting in PCH (same as last week except I won the toss  ).

A decent start, though both batsmen have been dropped. The good news is they're quite tired after cup exploits against Sky Blues on Sunday so their big all rounder is on lively and the other one is rested. Downside is they (like BB) are one of the few teams around with a 14 man squad so can chop and change without noticeably weakening.

End of Over 40 (4 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 101-1, runrate=2.53
Overs left today: 70
Dugdale 8-0-31-0
Guneratne* 12 (24 balls)
Sinethemba 42 (125 balls)

Last Wicket: Wanless c. Mcallister b. Maddock 45 (FOW: 81/1)

Starting to crack on now, looks like Tyas could get his 1st FC ton of the seaosn.

Southend v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Southend won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: dusty

End of Over 40 (8 runs). BATTY SHRIMPERS: 148-0, runrate=3.70
Overs remaining today: 70
Hohsinuddin 10-1-38-0
Tyas* 98 (141 balls)
Pollock 46 (100 balls)

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good start for Mrs BB

Marsh Harriers v DIBS DIPPERS

DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: flat

End of Over 40 (7 runs). DIBS DIPPERS: 115-1, runrate=2.88
Overs remaining today: 70
Shirley 7-1-17-1
Stride* 55 (122 balls)
Hutton 4 (5 balls)

Last Wicket: Zubair b. Shirley 53 (FOW: 111/1)

Ticking along ok but not really quick enough if we're going to force a result this week. Having said that, draws against the other bottom 4 should be enough to keep me up this season which is the sole aim.

Happy with this as well:

10/01/2012 Played a First Class match (7262310) and received £784,386 in gate receipts.

End of Over 61 (3 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 156-2, runrate=2.56
Overs left today: 49
Prue 11-3-26-0
Guneratne* 45 (81 balls)
Cunningham 18 (35 balls)

Last Wicket: Sinethemba c. Gooding b. Dugdale 46 (FOW: 121/2)

Some nice aggression down the order.

End of Over 98 (2 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 250-6, runrate=2.55
Overs left today: 12
Wood 17-4-47-0
Nadeeka* 25 (24 balls)
Alvardo 7 (25 balls)

Last Wicket: Cunningham c. Shabangu b. Maddock 49 (FOW: 221/6)

Mission almost accomplished. All rounder bowled 8 overs (orders changed for tomorrow) and didn't bat. Hoping he is invigorated at worst for crucial OD on Friday. Top place only got around 260 so I'm hoping their opps can drag it out all day tomorrow. They have a phenomenal top order that failed in the reverse fixture.

262-6 at close, both teams will be happy but the game is again likely to be a draw. Will give these two a chance to get to 280 tomorrow then declare. Pleasing to see them get in the runs after they both got ducks last week.

Realised that the reason they didn't miss their all rounder was that they bought a masterful bowler just this morning for the match and he took 3 of the wickets. Oh to have spare cash to throw around, Kev barely cares now, I'll siphon off some of his

End of Over 110 (2 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 262-6, runrate=2.38
Dugdale 24-7-59-1
Nadeeka* 33 (64 balls)
Alvardo 10 (57 balls)
Last Wicket: Cunningham c. Shabangu b. Maddock 49 (FOW: 221/6)

Got them all out for 96, were something like 126-1.

Theyre 2nd, Im 4th. But leaders have 100% record, so no chance of promotion anyway.

Should have just declared!!

End of Over 121 (Maiden). ShrimperZone CC: 269-9, runrate=2.22
Overs left today: 99
Maddock 32-11-65-5
Digana* 0 (5 balls)
Gulzar 0 (12 balls)

Last Wicket: Crossley b. Wood 3 (FOW: 269/9)

Declared at 320, rather than trying to drag it out to 360, and it's paid off so far.

Southend v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Pitch: dusty

End of Over 19 (1 runs). Southend: 53-4, runrate=2.79
Trail by 268 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 321-7 dec)
Overs remaining today: 89
Job 1-0-1-1
Doolan* 1 (3 balls)
Bishop 17 (39 balls)

Last Wicket: Ducros b. Job 16 (FOW: 52/4)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB batted past 360 to try and give herself a chance of enforcing the follow-on.

Marsh Harriers v DIBS DIPPERS

Pitch: flat/slow

End of Over 7 (1 runs). Marsh Harriers: 23-1, runrate=3.29
Trail by 361 runs. (DIBS DIPPERS 384-10)
Overs remaining today: 88
Arnold 4-1-6-1
Blizzard* 15 (16 balls)
Rehman 7 (26 balls)

Last Wicket: Henshaw c. Stride b. Arnold 0 (FOW: 1/1)

Electric start from Gulzar. A win here would almost certainly mean safety. They bet very solidly down to 8 though as we found out last week so nothing certain yet.

End of Over 12 (1 run). Queens Park CC: 24-3, runrate=2.00
Trail by 245 runs. (ShrimperZone CC 269-10)
Overs left today: 85
Gulzar 6-1-10-3
Mcallister* 5 (8 balls)
Atkins 4 (15 balls)

Last Wicket: Darcy b. Gulzar 4 (FOW: 15/3)

Optimism has dissolved, draw almost certain again.

End of Over 39 (1 run). Queens Park CC: 120-3, runrate=3.08
Trail by 149 runs. (ShrimperZone CC 269-10)
Overs left today: 58
Crossley 11-2-36-0
Mcallister* 47 (90 balls)
Atkins 56 (96 balls)

Last Wicket: Darcy b. Gulzar 4 (FOW: 15/3)

Well it was a great day yesterday, after we broke that partnership the wickets tumbled and we've racked up our 2nd innings in quick time. Declaration is imminent leaving us plenty of overs to bowl them out, though in sunny conditions the RRR is attainable as well.

End of Over 45 (1 run). ShrimperZone CC: 174-2, runrate=3.87 (1st Inn: 269-10)
Lead by 284 runs. (Queens Park CC 159-10)
Overs left today: 99
Prue 4-0-16-0
Cunningham* 48 (74 balls)
Guneratne 49 (98 balls)

Last Wicket: Wanless lbw b. Cartwright 37 (FOW: 87/2)

I'm sitting pretty in 2nd with PFL perfect for tomorrows OD. Looks like 3rd will beat 4th so the title becomes a 3 horse race. 4th is my next up. They are draw specialists as I found to my cost at their place and it has cost me 10 pts and 1st spot. I'll be full strength and virtually sublime all round when I play them. They will have a big say in the title race.

should win this by about 3.45 this noon.

There players must have good consistency rating judging by there scores!!

End of Over 9 (2 runs, 1b). N-Trance shire: 24-1, runrate=2.67 (1st Inn: 276-10)
Trail by 101 runs. (Goldenlion 201-10 & 200-10)
Overs left today: 63

infact when i last played them they did the same thing..

03/01/2012 at N-Trance shire
N-Trance shire 284-10
Goldenlion 103-10 & 100-10

Got the win in the end, though had to endure 76 balls from their final two tail enders before getting the win, was starting to worry as 5pm loomed!! Puts a nice buffer between us and the relegation zone now but by no means safe as the fixtures haven't fallen kindly for us as my rivals are all taking points of Mighty Minnions thin squad as they're knackered (bottom placed Boatmen beat them today) but I have to play them first and last when their PFL is at peak (they thrashed me in the first game).

Will need to get draws at least against Aquantra and Boatmen and hope that Bob's Buffoons are in the Cup Semi to give me a chance against them.
