Favourite ever item of clothing.

Simple question:

What is the best item of clothing you have ever owned?

Mine would be a Carlsberg Special Brew T-shirt which I obtained after calling the consumer helpline phone number on the side of the can and spending 20 drunken minutes pleading with the woman who answered the phone to send me a T shirt.

She was as good as her word and I was quite the man about town for a few magical weeks before the T shirt went missing never to be seen again.

The best item of clothing I have ever seen (Pink Toothbrush, 1990) was a hooded rave top with 'Italia 90 - the Ultimate Trip' written across the front. I have looked on eBay but the chances of me over owning this garment seem remote.

my Metallica - "Nowhere Else To Roam" tour t-shirt I got from Gumby's in 94/95. Long-sleeved and wore it to Donington 1995 and still have it and it's in wearable condition and it still fits.

If it includes footwear, then my first ever pair of Adidas Superstar trainers that I bought from the Adidas Connection in Tottenham Court Road around 1985. White leather, black snakeskin stripes and rear "trefoil", non-padded tongue, white shell, no laces, came with a free Run DMC poster - awesome.

My "wish I could afford one of those" - Adidas "Cyclone" sweatshirt from the same era. Still trawl eBay for one but no luck yet.

i had an uber-rare authentic godspeed you black emperor t-shirt that i managed to import from japan. i wore it so much it literally fell to pieces and had to be binned. really annoyed now because i can't find them anywhere and it was really cool. black with awesome artwork on it from the lift your skinny fists album

I want the T-shirt that some bloke at V had. It said

I'm a C you next tuesday (the actual 4 letter word that is)

That would then be the best t shirt I've ever owned.

Had a wonderful blue jacket that I bought from Camden that I lost at V Festival in 1997 due to the vast quantites of substances both illegal and legal that I imbibed.

If you've got it, can I have it back please?

At the moment, quite taken by my orange Astmatic Kitty T-Shirt that I bought from the USA.... work of art I tells ya.

about ten years ago i had a tweety hat which i got in america and never took it off until my head outgrew it :(

on the subject of favourite items of clothing. Shrimptank or the wizard whichever you know him by has lost his famous red SUFC hat and this is causing him some distress, anyone who finds it would make a short, fat man very happy.

This blue jacket I found at V Festival one year. It smelt of wee but once I'd washed it thoroughly, it padded out the dog's basket nicely.

Oy! Your dogs **** is not fit for my beloved blue jacket!

And I apologise for the wee-wee smell, but I was thoroughly wrecked and lying in a puddle of my own vomit for the majority of The Prodigy set :)
