Good luck to you! I think if you do play at RH, you might have very busy night. Mr Lindie & co might be looking for shooting practice!!

Just checked the FA web site it has a 2-1 win to Croydon in the replay.

Any news on a date for the game?

Match to be played a week on Wednesday (7th November), kick-off 7:30pm at Roots Hall. Entry is £3 for adults and £1 for concessions - it would be superb to see large collection of Shrimpers in the East Stand for this fixture.

Meanwhile, you may have heard Brian Wheeler announce today that the Under-18s won 2-1 at Oxford United in the Football League Youth Alliance Cup. The result means that after two months of playing in an eight-team group format, Blues' Youths have qualified for the second round of this competition.

Luke Thurlbourne put the young Shrimpers ahead in the 39th minute with a deflected shot from distance that spun over the 'keeper, and Ronnie Jones added a second midway through the second period when he dribbled an off-target Rhys Henry effort around a defender and forced the ball over the line. Despite a nervous last fifteen minutes after Oxford had pulled one back from a corner, Southend held on to book their place in Tuesday's draw for the knock-out stages. Full report to appear on the official website and Shrimpers Trust website over the weekend.

In further draw news, a date has also been announced for Blues' Essex Senior Cup third round fixture with Bowers & Pitsea. This match will be played on Wednesday 31st October - yes, this Wednesday - 7:45pm kick-off, £3 adults, £1 concessions. Once again, please come along - this will probably be another reasonably young side, so it is a chance to see the future of the club in action. This is because...

My final announcement - anyone who fancies a trip to watch the second-string can make the journey to Norwich City's Carrow Road on Monday night for a 7:30pm kick-off, as our reserves look to recover from last week's defeat at Northampton Town with a fixture against the Canaries. From memory, entry was £5 for adults and £2 for concessions last season, and Norwich normally get decent crowds, so it's ideal for our East Anglian contingent.
