FA Level 1 Club Coach

I've decided i'm going to do the coaching course, as i don't want to splash out £3,000 a year to do a degree in football, (part from the fact i'm already doing 1 degree already)
Just wondering if anyone on here as done the course atall, and what does it entail as the fa's site is very brief.

I also was interested in doing this course, but I think that they are only run at certain times of the year, does anyone no?

I've done it... They run it all year round in centres all around essex, but only 1 course at once. I had to do mine in Harlow, and it really is too easy. They've never failed anyone at Level 1, because its basically just a skills teaching course, That said, you do need a reasonable amount of fitness otherwise the final 2 days will kill you...

Day 1, usually a saturday, is the theory part of the course... nothing too taxing just ethics.

Day 2, usually midweek, is the Child Protection course and takes 2 hours

Days 3 and 4 take place over 1 weekend and involve your group learning 1 excercise to teach on the sunday. Obviously, every group learns 1 excercise and then on the sunday you all compete in eachothers excercise, taken place as a training session coached by you.

Level 2 is much harder, but this should give you an idea of what to expect.

Check www.essexfa.com for more details.

I can echo those sentiments from EastStandBlue, I've done the level 1 but haven't done the level 2.

Had to do mine in Col******r though.
