No further punishment - for Southend United boss Kevin Maher (Image: FOCUS IMAGES)

By Chris Phillips@cjphillips1982Chief sports reporter.

THE Football Association has confirmed Kevin Maher misconduct charge has not been proven.

An FA hearing went the way of the Shrimpers boss yesterday.

And Maher will now face no further punishment following his red card against Yeovil Town back in November.

An FA statement confirmed: "An independent Regulatory Commission has found a misconduct charge against Southend United’s Kevin Maher to be not proven.

"The manager was sent off during their National League match against Yeovil Town on Saturday 9 November, and it was subsequently alleged that his behaviour around the 20th and 48th minutes was improper.

"Kevin Maher denied this charge against him, and the independent Regulatory Commission found it to be not proven following a hearing.

"As a result, there will be no further action against Kevin Maher."

More chance of getting sh#t from a rocking horse!

4th clearly was undermining the capabilities of a female referee and she wasn’t strong enough to tell him to shut the hell up!
It was a toxic combination. I assume both officials would be aware that the two red cards given were rescinded. Is there any comeback for them, I assume probably not ?
