Having finally booked a holiday to Barcelona in September, I feel like having another rant at ****ing Expedia!!

The *******s apparently dont take debit cards for payment for holidays, I suspect so that they can add a surcharge on the payment! If it wasn't for the fact that the holiday package I have got was so cheap yet so amazing I certainly would have looked elsewhere, and will in the future if I can help it!!

I have probably spent about 30 minutes on the phone (to a high rate number, just to top it all off!) to get the bloody thing booked, which is especially annoying as I was told at 20 to 4 they would call me back to speak to my housemate (to whom I am eternally greatful!) to take a credit card payment, only for them not to call!! I just wanted to get it sorted so I phoned them, and got a useless operator who couldn't even comprehend that I had spoken to another operator already today, let alone pass me over!!!!!

So, in summary, DONT USE EXPEDIA!!!!!!!

unless you want a holiday that is' so cheap and so amazing' it would seem, best thing to do would be to turn up with cash that would **** em

i find this place very useful, have found good places to stay in the past in both Rome and Dublin, and have a place for Majorca booked for Oct.

They also take Debit cards, the booking fee is low, and you can do a deposit now, and pay the rest 2/3 months prior to departure at no extra cost..

Your the second person to recommend Travel Republic to me Dave, and I've just had a look out of curiosity and it does look a great site for holidays! In fact, it has the exact same flights and hotel I have booked for Barcelona at the same time for about the same price! Seems so much easier to find the location I wanted.

Have bookmarked the site for the next holiday!

Really? I booked a trip with them last month and paid with my debit card. No surcharge. Topped up on my Nectar points whilst I was there too.

I've used Expedia several times over the years and have always found them to be spot on.
