Ex Shrimpers in Non League action

As its the first day of the Non League season today:

Danny Gay made his debut for Bishop's Stortford in their 1-0 defeat to Eastbourne. Gay lined up alongside another Ex Shrimper, Ben Lewis and ex trialist Leke Thanda. Eastbourne had Danny Marney on their bench.

Luke Nightingale played for Bognor in their 2-0 defeat to Yeading.

Jamie Southon made his Cambridge City debut in their 3-0 win over Weston Super Mare.

Neville Roach made his Eastleigh debut in their 1-0 defeat to Hayes.

Carl Emberson made his debut for Sutton in their 4-1 win over Maidenhead.

Lee Hodges started for Thurrock in their shock 2-1 home defeat to Histon.

Adrian Clarke played in Wellings 3-1 home win against St Albans.

Richie Hanlon, Steven Clark and Andy Harris all started for Weymouth, whilst Danny Webb was on the bench, in their 1-0 win over a Havant side including Tom Jordan.

David Lee played the full 90 for Aldershot in their 2-0 home defeat to Tamworth getting booked in the process.

Stuart, Kightly and Thurgood all started for Grays in their 1-1 draw with Burton, with Tony Battersby coming off the bench to get the Grays goal.

Ryan Clarke and Damon Searle played for Forest Green in their surprise 1-0 win over Rob Newman's Cambridge side.

Craig Holloway made his debut in goal for Gravesend but had to be substituted at half time.

Darren Blewitt was an unused sub for Hereford as they beat Scarborough 4-0.

Ian Selley played for Woking in their 2-1 defeat to Kiddie, although Mark Rawle was not involved.

Ryan Robinson has been handed the Morecambe No1 shirt for this season and he started for them in their 1-0 home victory over Halifax.

Ronnie Henry started for Stevenage in their 3-0 demolition of Altrincham.

Chris Porter played in goal for York as they drew 0-0 with Crawley, who had Neil Jenkins in their starting line up.

Marek Szmid was on the bench for Vauxhall Motors in their 2-1 away win away at Alfreton.

Kevin Rapley played for Droylsden in a 2-2 draw with Nuneaton.

Lee Nogan was on the bench for Harrogate Town in their game with Hyde.

Meanwhile, Rio Alderton has joined Stuart Williams at Redbridge.

.....our old friend Abdou Sall was sent off for Forest Green.

Good work, but the Rymans starts this week and with it loads more ex shrimpers so you will have your work cut out maintaining that standard
