D.O.L.L appears to have fallen down the back of the sofa so can anybody help him get his team started ...

Derek Belloti
Dean Austin Dorian Dervite Dave Cusack Andy Dixon
Dominic Iorfa Dave Martin Phil Dudley
David Crown Laurie Dudfield Dave Regis

Dave Worthington or Wee Davey Cunningham too as possibles, RB and LW I think, from memory...Derek Spence and Derek Parker as well.

D.O.L.L informs me he is working on his team in top secret high up in the Swiss Alps or something, i await it with interest !!!

It's a rare treat to be able to take issue with YB's posts relating to SUFC history, but may I respectfully suggest to m' learned friend that he reconsider the positions of Phil Dudley and David Crown? Dudley, when not having a kickabout in Eastwood Park, was a right-back or substitute. Crown would not be played on the right side of a forward line as he used to be a left-winger before he came to us. I'm guessing that the left back position is hard to fill, though I think you're right that Andy Dixon did have a few games on the left - as (I'm sure) you know, he was nominally a right back. The word 'nominally' is used deliberately in this case.

In case D.O.L.L does sneak on here for some last minute inspiration then Darryl Flahavan in goal Damon Searle Dave Robinson and Duncan Jupp have all served admirably at the back while Tommy Dixon and Dickie Donoven played in the same 20s/30s midfield and amassed 600 games between them
