Yeah, same here - grew up with Eurovision, watched it every year with my folks when I was a kid, lost interest when I discovered 'real music' as a teenager. Somehow it slowly drew me back in around the early 90s and I haven't missed one since despite the fact that I know it's a load of utter w%&k

Agree totally with Artful.

The best televisual feast of the year by far. Watched the 50 years of Eurovision show on TV last night, and what memories!

Along the lines of the Girls Aloud thread, we should have a who would you most like to snake out of Abba thread - the blonde one, the brunetter Norwegian one, or the beardy one? Left Bjorn out as no-one would be that stupid.

This years winner is likely to be the home country.

We will either get nul points or perform surprisingly well, it's that kind of song.

This will be the first time in about 3 years I wil be watching it! Saw the 50 year highlights last night! Some good stuff on there (was Jemini really that bad?!!!). Think Terry Wogan makes Eurovision even more enjoyable!

to be honest i cant see why Daz even bothered to enter into the contest. He is a very succesful writer and producer, having a number of top 10's under his belt, and must be worth near a million. Im glad in a way tho that he beat clean pop entires from the likes of simon webb tho, as he is so not that squeaky clean eurovision type.
