Essex v Sussex 20/20

Simply amazing ... quite simply the greatest innings i have had the pleasure to have watched .. albeit from my lounge rather than the FCG ... i know a few on here are regular visitors to Chelmsford and will be full of it later .. and rightly so

Can i also point out that it seems SUFCLiam started moaning when Napes came in at 3 cos "he's no good that high up"

What a superb & brutal knock! Loved every minute of it!

Of those of you who watched it, did it seem strange to you when Napier missed a ball in about the 18th over? I just sat there thinking, "he's missed it!!"

Was there myself. Napier has chipped in with typical Napier knocks this season, hitting a quick 20-35 before getting out. When he came in we said 'wonder what he could do if he ever batted the rest of the innings?'.

We found out! They weren't just boundaries, they were out the ground!!! Clearly it is unlikely he'll ever match that, but so great to watch!!!

Graham you have a lot to live up to now!!!!

Just phenomenal. I thought I was lucky to see Ravi's 201 at Grace Road earlier in the month, Graham Napier's knock was just as impressive, but in a completely different way - a brutal exhibition of clean-hitting. As MB says, he has regularly made 25-30 in double-quick time, but this was a once-in-a-lifetime performance from Napier. The one good thing is that when he comes out tomorrow at the Rose Bowl, his mentality will be just the same!

I think i have seen the best knock ever tonight, fair play to Napier - fantastic performance - packed house in as well!

Was a fantastic knock. I thought Bopara had hit probably the greatest innings in Essex's one-day history this season, but I think it may have been surpassed.

Highlights on at 12:30 on Sky Sports 1 if anyone wants to stay up/record.

After being away all last week - i had to get along to at least one game this season for the Twenty20 at Chelmo and what a game to choose. We started off very slowly, losing Petts early and Gallian playing like it was a 4 day match. But Naps was a different class. I have never seen anything like that, be it live or on tele. It was superb to watch and i think he got every shot right, bar one, which he swung and missed. Thought big Mo did well with 3 wickets and then 'Brook & Danny cleaned up the tail!

another top performance and we certainly are difficult to beat at Chelmsford. Now for two tough games which will decide things against Hampshire.

That was absolutely fantastic. He is a nice lad as well Napes. Do you chaps play cricket and if so where? I've been playing at Billericay for 11 years now - just wondered if I might see some of you knocking about in the leagues?

Not that i'm aware of ... i have played for various work sides down the years with differing degrees of success, always a less than talented batsman i did manage a 15 once .. my nagging leg arm medium pacers were none too shabby though with a best of 4-11 including a hat-trick

was that when we used to play in the back garden of your old flat.
