Imagine had that been the international football team caught up in a sexual assault scandal in an overseas hotel. There would be about 1,000 journalists out there digging dirt.

They will probably get away with anything they may or may not have done on the basis that it was "high-jinks".

I've added the word 'union' to this thread title. Don't want league tainted with union's dirty brush.

In fact, those girls probably didn't want to be tainted with their brushes either...

apparently they are not co-operating with the police on legal advice as you don't have to in NZ. all 4 deny any wrong doing tho.

As the person who was allegedly sexually abused hasn't made a formal complaint, it sounds like a load of rubbish.

Again, had it been footballers she would probably been paid a decent wedge by some of our lurid tabloids to make a formal complaint to the NZOB.

It's a joke, no way the police should do anything as no complaint has been lodged with them.

Probably NZ payback for their player getting nicked at Heathrow after World Cup damaging cars in the car park - erm allegdly lol!

See my point anyone....!!?

Wait to see how many come back injured or spear tackled etc.

Not me being negative as the Lions Tour was just terrible, fine & ban players for a while is great when it happens!

That said, better than football, they fine 'small' amounts to people it isn't even a weeks wages too!
