As mentioned in the other thread DoDtS came to me with an idea about a knock out competition to run alongside the established league, i thought it was a great idea as it should keep the interest running to the seasons end for a few more posters, i was hoping it would attract a few new participants and in reality i should've taken Petes advice and advertised the comp a bit more (via The Pub or Main Forum perhaps) ... but as it turns out i'm glad that it will be one of the loyal few walking off with the prize (unless Dave the Shrimpe nabs it of course !!!) ... assuming it goes well i feel this is something we can take into next season, where there'll be more time to space the matches out a bit (as this is going to be really tight squeeze to fit in) .. maybe next season we can have 2 cup comps (one pre xmas and one after) but there's time aplenty to discuss that through the summer
As i stated previously the earlier people registered the better and as it turned out the first 6 to state an interest will go into round 2, the remaining 20 have been drawn out and the ten winners of those ties will join those initial 6 in round 2 .. because of the tight timelines we only have room for one replay per round ... i will inform you of the rules in this instance should the need arise as i don't want to confuse you all unneccessarily
Basically your role doesn't change, just predict as you normally do, the points you score will be measured against your opponent with the higher score going through .. i hope it turns out as simple as i envisage, but please feel free to PM or post here with any questions
