Encouraging news

V positive, what about Freddy signing a new deal....?

The latest signings (Clarke and Paynter) have both signed three year contracts (as well as Francis if I remember correctly) hence this should be the minimum length of contract offer for both Gutts and Freddy.

Great news that Gutts wants to stay - sign the contract Luke ! !

Very good news. I didn't realise his contract is up at the end of the season. One player I definitely want to get tied up so he can continue to develop.

Or so Cody says. On his previous track record everything he says would suggest the exact opposite. Still, I'd love to be proved wrong and get Lukey to sign that damn contract!

I did not know Paynter had three years, that is terrible news
Why is it terrible news? I hope you aren't another one of these football experts we have who know so much more than Steve Tilson and Paul Brush that you can tell after two short sub appearances that it is terrible to have signed Billy Paynter on a longish contract.

If there's some other reason why its terrible news then let us know what it is. In fact I'll be interested to know your reasoning in any case.

I seriously hope you're joking...

How can you condemn a player like that when he's played all of 20 something minutes in a team he's known for not only a week. Paynter will be a fantastic player for us IMO, all he needs is time to adapt and grow into the team.

He can't be that bad, he according to Hull fans he was there best player in pre-season

Having not seen a league game yet, I can't comment, but then again it's harsh to make a judgement on the basis of two sub appearances.

If Tilly reckons he's good enough for a three year deal then that's all the convincing I need.
