EMAIL FROM THE FA...

Youth Team
Many thanks for contacting The Football Association and please accept our apologies for the delay in responding.

With regards to allegations of pitch invasions by Swansea City fans in their match against Bury, Swansea City are a member of, and therefore answerable to, the Football Association of Wales (FAW).

The Football Association is aware of an incident at Grimsby Town FC and will be following it up.

Thanks again for taking the trouble to write.

Kind regards,

is this the same FAW that resinded a Trundle Red card and three match ban for an terrible two footed challenge during the season run in ?

just the response I expected

I'm sure the FAW will let them off or give them a small fine.

I can't get over the fact the FAW are responsible for Swansea. They play in an English league, the English FA make decisions on it. If they don't like it, p*ss off and play Bangor and TNS.

If it wasn't for the obvious examples of favouritism in the past involving the Trundle case, I'd expect the FAW to do something.

Excuse me for not waiting with baited breath although an e-mail to the FAW to see what they will be doing will be interesting.

I can see what the FAW's answer will be:

This incident took place in England, outside of our jurisidiction......

Would be funny were it not for the fact I could realistically see it happening.

Have to say the Trundle incident shocked me. Let's not forget he scored at Northampton in what should have been his ban. Shocker.

Welsh FA
Trust your fluent in Welsh....I don't suppose their site will be in English...

Surely then if the welsh clubs are still under the WFA and yet play in our leagues then there should be nothing to stop Rangers, Celtic, Real Madrid, AC and Inter Milan joining our leagues then

ironicly its all in english!!!

I really think this is a problem, but whos to adress i do not know.

Who let Swansea in without being governed by the English FA in da 1st place needs a talking too.

Does anybody know if Wrexham have the same? Or Cardiff?

the interesting tidbit on the WFA site is the diagram of their league pyramid which has the Welsh Prem at the top and then a whole host of minor leagues underneath.

Judging by the size of Wales I reckon most of the teams in the smaller divisions are probably about the same standard as the Essex Senior League or even the Southend Boro Comb. on Saturdays

Is the English F.A responsible for Berwick?

i think it is about time the F.L ousted the foreign teams from our league.

I have been to North Wales several times and I have to admit I am always shocked by the unfriendliness of the locals.

In order to break the ice in pubs I normally try to start a conversation about Damon Searle or Nathan Jones but people just ignore me. How rude! At least I am making an effort to blend in.

They also have a real chip on their shoulders about the English bumping up house prices buying holiday homes which prices the locals out of the market.

I do have every sympathy for them but it's not MY fault is it?

Perhaps if they put the same effort into learning some modern skills that they do into speaking their archaic language they may have a bit more dollar in their back burners.

Cheers

Yeah, with the catchy title of 'The Vauxhall Masterfit Retailers Welsh Premier League'.
