Its the 3 letter abbreviation to EFL just seems incredibly American to me. MLS, NFL, NBA, UFC, WWE, NHL...

and the logo just looks like that of an energy company
 
At least its local so the crowds for the first two games of the season should be better than they would be otherwise..
 
How about the club do a two games for the price of the League game plus a quid, or buy a pint and get a JPT ticket? There must be some promotional offer that would get people back.

TFL doesn't work. You couldn't then say "the TFL" 'cos that'd be "the the Football League".

There's quite enough to criticize with football's administrators without worrying about a reasonable acronym.
