Echo - Ronald Martin

That's good. If he didn't have, we'd have a problem.

I do however tire of reading managers/supporters saying so-and-so club doesn't belong in whatever division.

Of course we belong in League one; we didn't do well enough to get out of it. Hopefully this time next year we'll "belong" in the Championship.

I do understand what you mean, but I think he has a point, with the way the club is moving and the fanbase that we have and are building. The way the team is growing etc, we do not deserve to be at this level. However on that note you can argue the same for a few clubs.

We are exactly where we sholud be ... the only sides in the CCC with a lower average attendance than that were relegated, and the only other side in that league with an average of less than 10k stayed up on the final day (Blackpool) ... i do believe we can make the step up to the next level, but only when we are at FF

Good post totally agree. at the moment we are where we but at FF and hopefully the addition of a couple of extra thousand we can make the step up. although on that point the top two supported sides in the Championship were Sheff U and Norwich neither of which i would say deserve to be in the premier league.

We have spent 7 seasons of our history in the 2nd tier so I fail to see how we belong there! We have the potential to establish ourselves at that level but it wont be easy.

At the moment we are a good League One side and its not been often you could actually say that in our history.

Dont get me wrong, I feel that league one is fair for our level at the moment. I was just saying that I do understand Ron's point, because that is the way we are building towards, as you yourself echo in bold.

Thats modern football for you, no-one "belongs" anywhere, but people think they do.

Kenyon doesn't think second best is good enough despite it being a transitional period, Leeds fans can't understand they're not in the Premiership still, Bradford still probably cry at night.

Alas, you're only as good as your last game. Which is a shame in our case, but thankfully not representative of the bigger picture...

Unfortunately kenyon epitomises modern football, the bloke is a ****!

There's nothing wrong with ambition, and I'm very glad to see that the club has it, but I don't think we can really talk about being a Championship size club just yet. Let's get our new ground ready and our attendances consistently into five figures first. Otherwise we risk betraying the same kind of unwarranted, unbecoming arrogance and ideas above our station that Col Ewe have made such a joke of themselves with in recent times.
