eBay - Advice

Right, another of my pet-hate topics.
I had an auction on eBay which ended last night but the item didn't sell for my minimum price. I've had 2 messages from people offering me slightly less than my original price but the to55ers at eBay are blocking me from messaging them back.

Anybody know of any ways as to how I can contact them directly? Unfortunately, neither of them unticked the "hide my email address" option! I've even tried logging in on a different eBay account to contact them throuh eBay but this didn't work either.

This whole eBay experience has been a nightmare from start to finish, I thought it was all supposed to be relatively straightforward. Each part of the process has been like pulling teeth (then I have to pay them commission for the privilige!)

Any help much appreciated.

look up the guys accounts, see if they are selling anything. If they are, go to the ask a question section, and email them that way...

And that's about all I could do... OR re-submit it and hope they re-bid... I had a similar experience a whilst ago for a fireplace, so not exactly an exciting object to many; bought it for a grand, not used, didn't want it to go for less than £300. Even had to bid against myself in the end. Right royal pain in the **** tbqfh.

ask for help on ebaylive. Or, relist the item.

It generally is straightforward. I've not had any problems.

when i had problems with a non payer i just emailed ebay one of the links down the side and they got back to me really quickly.

try doing a google search for their user names. Often people will use the same id for ebay as for at least one Email account, so this may show up on search.

ie for me, search for swanseashrimper, and see if any links come up to either swanseashrimper@emailaccount.something or even to a forum (such as this) that may have a visible addy. Not a guaranteed way, but as a last resort it can work

Yeah, but that will cost me another set of fees.
To be honest I was hoping I could get in touch with them for a private sale & not have to then pay the exhorbitant cut eBay want (it seems anything sold over £500 then they just rip you off), hence why I guess they closed the loophole of messaging other eBayers!
