Eastwood

Really pleased for him, hopefully with a good start he can finally re-find his form and bang in 20+ which he is more than capable of.

There was a snippet in the Sun about Freddy today, he said he's cut back on his drinking to try wow the new manager at Coventry.

I am that unluckiest of souls that follows both Southend and Coventry, as I was born in Cov, but have grown up in Rayleigh and now live in Westcliff. At the Southend game yesterday there were a couple of chaps behind me banging on about how he's not done anything since leaving Southend etc etc, I was quite pleased when I checked the scores on my phone to see that he'd scored twice. He's got a lot more competition for his place this year and it was nice to see him not only start a game, but play the full 90, quite rare.

I distinctly remember his goal away at Kidderminster that rescued us three points, a leaping salmon rising above a sea of defenders to nod home a floating Nicky Nicolau delivery...

I remember that game. Great away day. Didn't he also smack in a freekick in the first half before we were pegged back to 1-1 before a couple of late goals to secure the win?
