Ready for a fight, eh? Let's hope Bilel and Hall don't turn up then .............:omg:

Stadiums visited - 3 (Brighton, Rotherham and Gateshead)
Grounds visited - quite a lot but usually the same ones over and over again ............

I Think this shows how Freddy has grown as a player, No longer expecting to be in the First XI and showing a determination to fight for a spot.

It's a good thing for sturrock with Fred, BBBC, Harris, Tomlin, Bongo and Benyon all pushing for a starting position.

Just feel we are vulnerable in the CM role, as Spicer is yet to impress me!

There are some that are saying Freddy would do well in a more withdrawn role, as a playmaker, or maybe just behind the two strikers, thoughts.

Well for 15 mins in that role on Sat he turned a previously solid Exter defense into a bunch of corporal Jones impersonators....point being if he gets the ball in advanced space in the middle of the pitch he's going to hurt you.

Of course he played wide right midfield in the Championship. However wasted there surely.

I guess if he plays there its more on the 4-3-3 side of a 4-3-1-2 than 4-4-2. At home if think it can really work if we play the three behind narrow allowing the full backs to push on and provide the width. And to me Hurst looks like he could be a really good creative CM (or on the right of a narrow three).

Away it would be very ambitious/exciting take your pick.
Away I think Freddy goes in a 4-2-2 or behaps the withdrwan role in a 4-4-1-1

By the way if Ryan Hall comes back how does this look for bums on seats at home?

-----------------Smith---------------
Clohessy--Cresswell--Phillips----Barker
------Hurst-----Timlin-----Hall--------
---------------Eastwood-------------
-----Assombalonga-------Tomlin-------

I would be happy with that in L1-- I am now going for a short nap/dream

i just don't think that Hall will be in that team

I think up front we look very strong and must have one of the strongest attacks in the league now.
