Eastwood's sell-on clause

Beefy

Life President
Over the last two and a bit years people have gone on about this clause but no one has ever known for certain how much it was or even if it existed.

Well in today's Sun theres a tiny quote from one of the directors at Grays saying that Ron Martin shook on a 15% sell-on. It sounds like an agreement though rather than a legally-binding obligation.

That's not too bad - £750k out of £5m is a lot less than it could have been...

Same as we shook on the JCR fee ? Ron will give that one a swerve

In fairness Grays deserve a nice payment for letting us have him.

?

They way i read it, Grays had to virtuly beg Tilly to take him on.

Tilly firstly said he could not afford his wahges but the grays boss said "dont be daft"

If true I would hope Grays do get the money, thanks to them we got Fred, by the sound of all the reports it was the Grays staff that pushed Fred to SUFC rather than SUFC wanting to take Freddy. So good for Grays they can have there 15%...All in all i would rather Fred just stayed with us !!!
